There are many reasons when you are a full time RV’er that you may need to use a hotel or rent a home for a short period of time.
One of the bigger times is when your RV may be at a repair shop or having repair issues. What I want to talk to you today about is the more fun side of this, which is choosing a hotel or a home for a vacation from your RV.
You may immediately wonder why would you want to do this is? Isn’t RV life supposed to be a vacation? That couldn’t be further from the truth!
Although we do, we have way more time in RV life to be together, do the things we love, not fill our time with busy work we are most certainly not on a perpetual vacation.
Just like you take a vacation from your sticks and bricks home sometimes taking a vacation from RV life is just as exhilarating, relaxing, and recharging to the soul.
There’s a myriad of reasons on why doing this has been so enjoyable for us personally over the last almost 2 years. One of the big reasons is sometimes there’s a destination, where frankly an RV will not fit, is not an accessible location, or you may need to fly to it.
I’m going to make a bold statement here and say it is also sometimes is a weight lifted from the responsibility aspect of not needing to do anything with your RV while you are trying to vacation. Because we all need a full break!
There are other things as well, like having a big home, huge kitchen, if you are meeting family and friends, or my personal favorite, a large bath tub this is always a MUST when we are renting a property.
So what are some of the ways we love to stay? We love to take advantage of mid week hotel discounts, especially ones that have features that maybe we don’t typically find at an RV park and some of our favorite spots to do this are in the cities or remote beach locations. A beach vacation we just loved and took recently was to. Remote beach area in Florida, Alligator Point and we loved it! Check out the home here
We also love to rent homes, especially as I mentioned earlier if we are meeting with a large group of family or friends or perhaps we want an extended stay with more of a home feel. I recently did a poll on social media and found that, the vast majority of people who answered only took vacations one time yearly– that made me sad. I am here to tell you in this blog post that taking multiple small trips throughout the year, will not only give you something to look forward to, but also be extremely beneficial to your mental health and your family's health. Remember there’s nothing more important than time with the ones you love, so book that vacation even if it is a Stay-Cation! With love,
